can i mix semi and full synthetic oils and which grade is best 10w40 or 15w50? this is for a motorbike btw, i think i know the answers but would like some input please

- rule nr1: never mix motor-oils. Especially not semi-and full synthetics.
- best grade is in the handbook that comes with your machine, duh. The numbers are the viscosity, 10W50 is a lot thicker then 10W40 when it is cold. The number doesn't really say anything about the quality of the oil.
The oil you use, has to match the type of engine: hot-headed high revver, big piston V-2, dry or wet clutch etc. For a wet cluctch, the oil has to be conform the jaso-MA standard.
